Saturday Evening Devotional: God Is Still Working
As Saturday comes to a close, maybe you’re thinking about everything you didn’t get done this week.
The prayer you’re still waiting to see answered.
The area where you thought you’d be further along.
The situation that still hasn’t changed.
The part of your heart God is still working on.
Friend, unfinished doesn’t mean forgotten. 💜
“For I am confident of this very thing, that He who began a good work among you will complete it by the day of Christ Jesus.” — Philippians 1:6 NASB
I love the reminder tucked inside this verse: God finishes what He starts.
You may not see the whole picture yet. You may even wonder what He is doing in this season. But God is working in places you cannot see, shaping you, strengthening your faith, and preparing things you don't yet understand.
So tonight, instead of measuring your week by everything you accomplished—or didn’t accomplish—look for evidence of God’s faithfulness.
Maybe you kept going when you wanted to quit.
Maybe you prayed instead of worrying.
Maybe you chose forgiveness.
Maybe you simply made it through a difficult week leaning a little more on Jesus.
That matters.
You are still growing. God is still working. And your story is still being written.
🙏 Saturday Evening Prayer
Lord, thank You that Your work in my life isn’t finished. When I become impatient with myself or discouraged by what hasn’t changed, help me remember that You are faithful. Tonight, I release this past week into Your hands. Continue shaping my heart, strengthening my faith, and leading me where You want me to go. Help me rest knowing that what You begin, You are faithful to complete. Amen.
💭 Tonight’s Reflection:
Where have I seen God quietly working in my life lately—even if the work isn’t finished yet?
Rest tonight, friend. You don't have to have everything figured out before a new week begins.
God is still working. And He isn't finished yet. 💜
With love,
Kim
