Sunday Morning Devotional: A Heart Like Jesus
Good morning, friend. đź’ś
Before the busyness of a new week begins, Sunday gives us a beautiful opportunity to quiet our hearts and ask:
Lord, help me live a little more like You.
📖 Today’s Scripture
“Do nothing from selfishness or empty conceit, but with humility consider one another as more important than yourselves; do not merely look out for your own personal interests, but also for the interests of others.”
— Philippians 2:3–4 NASB
The world constantly tells us to focus on ourselves—our plans, our comfort, our opinions, our needs. But Jesus shows us another way.
He calls us to notice people.
To listen a little longer.
To offer grace instead of judgment.
To encourage someone who is struggling.
To serve when no one is watching.
To choose kindness even when it isn't returned.
Living with the heart of Jesus doesn't always require doing something big. Sometimes it simply means asking:
“Lord, who can I love well today?”
As you begin this Sunday, ask God to help you see the people around you through His eyes. There may be someone who needs exactly the kindness, encouragement, or grace He can give through you. 🌿
🙏 Sunday Morning Prayer
Lord, thank You for this new day. Give me a heart that looks more like Yours. Help me walk in humility, notice the needs of others, and choose kindness and grace in the little moments today. Show me where I can be Your hands and feet, and let my life point someone toward You. Amen.
đź’ Sunday Reflection
Who might God be placing on my heart to encourage, help, or simply love well today?
Go into this Sunday with open eyes and an open heart, friend.
Someone may see a little more of Jesus today because of the way you love them. đź’ś
With love,
Kim
